Podcast: The Pastor Theologian

Mere FidelityIn this week’s episode of Mere Fidelity, Derek and I are joined by Dr Kevin Vanhoozer and Gerald Hiestand. Both of our guests have just co-authored books on the subject of the pastor theologian—The Pastor as Public Theologian: Reclaiming a Lost Vision and The Pastor Theologian: Resurrecting an Ancient Vision. Both of these books are well worth reading and their case is an extremely important and timely one, so it was great to invite Vanhoozer and Hiestand onto the show for a grilling.

Take a listen to the podcast and share your thoughts in the comments. If you are interested by the vision of the pastor theologian, I strongly suggest that you read the books and consider attending the forthcoming conference run by the Centre for Pastor Theologians.

Haven’t listened yet, but now I’m curious, did Derek quote Kevin Vanhooser to prove a point to Kevin Vanhooser? 😛
