Cricket Match at Headingley

England vs. Pakistan

I spent the day in Headingley with my brothers Mark and Peter, watching England win the third Test against Pakistan and ‘Monty’ Panesar and Sajid Mahmood taking apart Pakistan’s batting order. England have now won the series and ensure that the Ashes will be competed by the top two teams in the world.

As a cricket-lover, this panorama shot made my day. Well played! It was nearly as satisfying at your “Why is Wright Misrepresented” post!

Oh, that photo brings back some memories!

Ah, those childhood days watching Yorkshire and England playing New Zealand, the Aussies, the West Indies (including the “blackwash” series of 1985 – not pretty), Pakistan, not to mention Lancashire of course.

*drifts off in wistful reverie, interrupted by occasional delirious shouts of “Sir Geoffrey!”*
