Lent

Last year I gave up the Internet for Lent. I found the time really beneficial, but I am not going to repeat it this year. This year, Lord-willing, I will try to spend more time in prayer, get enough sleep and avoid using my computer for music or Internet (apart from course-related work) between the hours of 9am and 6pm during weekdays. I also intend to do the readings in the Church Fathers that Jeff Steel recommends.

I would appreciate your prayers as I seek to do this. The last few weeks have been the least productive that I have had for about a year. Whilst I am up to date (and ahead) of most of my coursework, I have done hardly any extra reading and study. Blogging has also been very poor, for which I apologize. It is my hope that Lent will provide a time in which I can once again become focused on the things that are most important and start to use my time as effectively as possible, to the glory of God.
