For those of you who don’t know, I am a keen knitter. I find it incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. As I wanted to listen through James Jordan’s 150 hour long series on the Book of Revelation I thought that I would use the time as effectively as possible and so I have started a new knitting project. By the end of this semester I hope to be an expert on the book of Revelation and to have made a nice Aran sweater.

I look forward to seeing it 🙂
heh. a girl i liked (and still like actually) taught me how to knit a long time ago. I never learned to ‘cast-off’/finish though as I never finished anything.. my needles were so small it took FOREVER to get anywhere, and I wasn’t so talented methinks. all the best on your project. must post a pict of it when finished.
Luke,
There is a site for you…
You should get through at least ten sweaters in that time. Maybe you could just concentrate on the sweaters and forget Jordan’s exposition?
John
I have finished over a third of the back of the sweater and have listened to only 6 of Jordan’s lectures (out of 200+), so I will have to find another project afterwards. The Revelation lectures are well worth listening to.
Alastair, I’m tickled at the conjunction of knitting and NT Wright interest (alerted to your blog by Rance) — I prefer crochet (cf Menwhocrochet yahoo list), but knitted myself and my wife Aran sweaters twenty years ago — hers stretched, but we live in the tropics now, so they’re not of much use to us anyway. (And I have a great little pattern for knitted Christmas puddings, about three inches across — ideal stocking filler for St Nick’s Day.)
