Theopolis Podcast: First Sunday in Advent

In this episode of the Theopolis Podcast, Peter Leithart and I discuss the readings for the first Sunday of Advent: Jeremiah 33:14-16, 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13, Luke 19:28-40 and 21:25-36.

You can follow the Theopolis podcast on SoundcloudiTunes, and on most podcast apps. You can read show notes over on the Theopolis podcast website. You can also see past episodes I have contributed to by clicking the ‘Theopolis’ link in the bar above.

    Hi Alastair,

I haven’t listened to the podcast. But I would shortly. I just wanted to ask if you have any plans to flesh out thoughts on the doctrine of perseverance? I just read a 2004 blog post and it seems to sort of contradict your 2017 answer to a curiouscat question on perseverance. If you don’t have any plans too could you recommend a book that could flesh out somethings instead.

    • No plans at the moment. 2004 was fairly early in my theological development, so, if there is an apparent contradiction between a post from back then and a more recent one, it likely is an actual contradiction and you should go with the more recent one.
