    In a more realistic way the Roman Easter Vigil Liturgy says the exact same thing.

      Indeed except in English the word for Easter is Passover, Pascha, Pasqua etc. The Liturgy situates the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist in precisely these New Exodus (and New Creation terms).
